I’m so excited to have Amy Shah, MD, aka Fasting MD, on the show today. She is a double certified MD, go clean, and nutrition expert. She has been on various local and national media, and she has a book coming out soon, called Why the F Am I So Tired? She’s also an entrepreneur in her own right. We’re here to talk about burnout and chronic fatigue, especially in the entrepreneurial space. The demographic of young, up and coming, want to work really hard and have success. We have a different idea of what success is and we feel like we have to hustle to get there. It’s causing a lot of adrenal fatigue and burnout.

When she went into med school and discovered that she wasn’t able to incorporate nutrition, like she wanted, she knew she wanted to do something different. She felt like nutrition was her calling. She went through a period of burnout, fear, and resistance, to do something different than she was already doing. She started listening to nutrition podcasts and reading books, and discovered a website called Mind Body Green. She submitted an article to them and they accepted it. That was the start of her journey. Two years ago, she finally made the mental decision to go for it and do what she loves. She shares information about Western medicine, science, and the Eastern route of self-healing, mindset, and emotions.
