Over the last few weeks, the world has changed a lot. We have a global pandemic going on, with a virus that has put all of us in a position of being locked in our homes. It has led to a crisis of unprecedented levels in the economy, which means that it has almost come to a stop and we are going into a recession. On top of that, people are dying and getting sick, and fear is everywhere. As an entrepreneur, I believe that the biggest trigger in a time like this, for us as female entrepreneurs, is the issue of imposter syndrome. I have had many women popping into my DMs on Instagram, asking me a version of this question, “How do I show up online right now, when I’m struggling with imposter syndrome?”

I have seen imposter syndrome come up in many different ways. I’ve seen it in my students, clients, audience, husband, and myself. The first thing that I want to say is that you’re not alone. This pandemic is a perfect trigger for imposter syndrome, so of course it’s going to come up for many of us. Secondly, imposter syndrome is triggered by anything that makes us overthink, makes us nervous, and anything that brings up fear. There is so much of that right now!
